Jorge Reis

Jorge Reis | Visual Artist / Curator. Graduation in Fine Arts on 2007 (School of Arts and Design in Caldas da Rainha). “The Role of a Curator in a Creative Industry In a Low Density Area” MA thesis with 19 (nineteen) values in the Master of Contemporary Artistic Creation at the Aveiro’s University. Currently is coordinating the communication department of Superior School of Technologies and Arts of Lisbon (ESTAL). He started to collaborate with João Garcia Miguel’s company in October 2011. Was the creative at Other Things, a creative industry in Óbidos, Portugal, from September 2010 to September 2011. In 2009 he was awarded with an honorable mention in the international competition of digital video “20′sec” of ExperimentaDesign in Lisbon, Portugal. On 2008 he was selected in the National Competition of Young Artists (Jovens Criadores) in ​​fine arts category, in Lisbon, Portugal.

He is Director and founder of the project Arthoughts. He is C.E.O. and founder of CREARE.

Desenvolveu a sua tese de Mestrado O Papel do Curador Numa Indústria Criativa Num Local de Baixa Densidade com a classificação final de 19 (dezanove) valores (Mestrado Criação Artística Contemporânea da Universidade de Aveiro). Começou a colaborar com a Companhia João Garcia Miguel em Outubro de 2011. Trabalhou como criativo na empresa do setor das indústrias criativas Other Things de Setembro 2010 a Setembro de 2011. Foi distinguido com uma menção honrosa no concurso internacional de vídeo digital20’sec pela ExperimentaDesign em Lisboa. Foi seleccionado na edição 2008 do concurso nacional Jovens Criadores na área de artes plásticas em Lisboa.

É Diretor e fundador do projecto Arthoughts. É C.E.O. e fundador da CREARE.
